병리적 자기애와 SNS 중독경향성의 관계

Abstract

본 연구는 병리적 자기애와 SNS 중독경향성의 관계에서 자기고양적 편향과 완벽주의적 자기제시의 매개효과를 알아보고자 함에 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 20-30대 220명을 대상으로 병리적 자기애, SNS 중독경향성, 자기고양적 편향(성격 묘사, 사건가발성), 완벽주의적 자기제시 척도를 사용하여 온라인 설문조사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료들은 SPSS 26.0을 이용하여 기술 통계 분석을 실시하였으며, 각 변인 간의 상관관계를 알아보기 위해 Pearson의 상관관계 분석을 실시하였다. 그리고 각 변인 간의 매개효과를 확인하기 위해 SPSS Macro Model 4 및 Model 6을 사용하였으며, Bootstrappig을 통해 매개효과의 유의성을 검증하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 주요 변인인 병리적 자기애, SNS 중독경향성, 자기고양적 편향, 완벽주의적 자기제시는 모두 유의한 상관관계를 보였다. 둘째, 병리적 자기애와 SNS 중독경향성의 관계에서 자기고양적 편향의 매개효과는 유의하였다. 셋째, 병리적 자기애와 SNS 중독경향성의 관계에서 완벽주의적 자기제시의 매개효과는 유의하였다. 넷째, 병리적 자기애와 SNS 중독경향성의 관계에서 자기고양적 편향이 순차 매개효과를 나타낸다는 것이 검증되었다. 병리적 자기애 자체만으로도 SNS 중독경향성에 직접적인 영향을 미치지만, 자기고양적 편향과 완벽주의적 자기제시를 순차적으로 매개하여 영향을 미치기도 하였다. 이에 따라 본 연구는 병리적 자기애와 SNS 중독경향성의 관계에서 그 경로를 밝히고, 연구의 확장에 힘을 보태는데 의미가 있으며, 실제 상담장면에서 자기애적 성향을 가진 내담자들을 접하게 될 때, SNS 중독경향성의 문제를 예측하고 예방할 수 있어, 상담치료의 기초자료 제공할 수 있다는 점에 의의가 있다. 게다가, 병리적 자기애와 SNS 중독경향성의 관계에서 자기고양적 편향과 완벽주의적 자기제시라는 순차적으로 영향을 미치는 두 매개변인의 특성을 고려하여 개입전략을 세울 수 있다는 점에서 시사점을 줄 수 있다. | The purpose of this study is to verify the mediating effects of self-enhancement bias and perfectionistic self-presentation in the relationship between pathological narcissism and SNS addiction tendency. For this purpose, an online survey was conducted using measurements of pathological narcissism, SNS addiction tendency, self-enhancement bias and perfectionistic self-presentation to the people in their 20s and 30s. The collected data are statistically analyzed using SPSS 26.0 and Pearson’s correlation analysis is performed to determine the correlation among each variable. Additionally, SPSS Macro Model 4 and Model 6 are used to verify the mediating effects among each variable and Bootstrapping is used to validate the significance of mediating effects. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. First, there are meaningful mutual correlations among pathological narcissism, SNS addiction tendency, self-enhancement bias and perfectionistic self-presentation. Second, the mediating effect of self-enhancement bias is significant to the correlation between pathological narcissism and SNS addiction tendency. Third, the mediating effect of perfectionistic self-presentation is significant to the correlation between pathological narcissism and SNS addiction tendency. Finally, it is confirmed that the proneness self-enhancement bias has a mediating effect on the relationship between pathological narcissism and SNS addiction tendency. Not only the pathological narcissism itself has a direct effect on SNS addiction tendency but also, proneness self-enhancement bias and perfectionistic self-presentation have the sequential mediating effects on SNS addiction tendency. Accordingly, this study attempts to discover the relationship between pathological narcissism and SNS addiction tendency and extend the study such that when providing a counseling therapy to patients with narcissistic tendency, the problem of SNS addiction tendencycan be predicted and prevented in a real world clinical counseling. Furthermore, this has an implication of intervention strategy by considering the two sequential mediator variables of proneness self-enhancement bias and perfectionistic self-presentation in the relationship between pathological narcissism and SNS addiction tendency.
