어머니의 아동기 학대경험과 양육행동의 관계

Abstract

본 연구는 영유아기 자녀가 있는 어머니를 대상으로 어머니의 아동기 학대경험과 양육행동의 관계를 살펴보고, 양육죄책감과 양육스트레스의 매개효과와 순차적 매개효과를 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 영유아기 자녀를 양육중인 어머니 285명을 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 측정도구로는 어머니의 아동기 학대경험 척도, 양육죄책감 척도, 양육스트레스 척도, 양육행동 척도를 사용하였다. 설문자료를 바탕으로 상관분석을 실시하여 주요 변인들 간의 관계를 확인하였고, 어머니의 아동기 학대경험과 긍정적, 부정적 양육행동의 관계에서 양육죄책감과 양육스트레스가 매개하는지 검증하였다. 본 연구의 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 어머니의 아동기 학대경험과 양육죄책감, 양육스트레스, 긍정적 양육행동, 부정적 양육행동의 관계에서 긍정적 양육행동을 제외하고 모두 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 양육죄책감과 양육스트레스는 어머니의 아동기 학대경험과 양육행동의 관계를 완전 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 양육죄책감과 양육스트레스는 어머니의 아동기 학대경험과 양육행동의 관계에서 순차적으로 매개하고 있음을 검증하였다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 본 연구가 가지는 의의와 시사점, 제한점 및 후속 연구에 대한 제언을 논의하였다.| This study has a purpose that as focusing on mothers with young children it verified correlation between childhood abuse experience of mothers and parenting behavior and then it researched mediating effects and sequential mediating effects of parenting guilt and parenting stress. It conducted online surveys on 285 mothers who take care of young children. It utilized a mother’s childhood abuse experience scale, a parenting guilt scale, a parenting stress scale, and a parenting behavior scale. Based on the survey data, this study verified relationships among major variables by operating correlation analysis, and it verified parenting guilt and parenting stress have mediating effects in the relationship among childhood abuse experience of mothers, positive parenting behavior, and negative parenting behavior. Analysis results of this study are as follows. First, in the relationship between child abuse experience of mothers and parenting guilt, parenting stress, positive parenting behavior, and negative parenting behavior, this study found that all variables show positive significance except for positive parenting behavior. Second, parenting guilt and parenting stress have complete mediating effects in the relationship between childhood abuse experience of mothers and parenting behavior. Third, this verified that parenting guilt and parenting stress had sequential mediating effects in the relationship between childhood abuse experience of mothers and parenting behavior. Based on these research results, this study discussed significance, implications, limitations and suggestions for follow-up research.
