dc.description.abstract | Human motion synthesis can be applied in various applications such as games, animation, and virtual reality. Generating a natural human motion synchronized with an online user input has been a long challenge for computer graphics society. Motion matching is one of the most popular methods in the game industry due to its fast and simple but relatively high quality. The method usually gets user inputs such as the desired directions of a character from keyboard or joystick. In this work, we extend the usability of motion matching by supporting flexible two dimentional input trajectories. Our method reflects the user desired character speed and is more robust to slight deviations while the character heading direction is not always fixed front. We show the effectiveness of our method by experiments and ablation studies. | - |
