임상윤리, 환상과 환장 사이

Abstract

임상윤리란 임상에서의 가치 관련 문제에 대한 포괄적인 접근과 대처를 가리킨다. 임상윤리가 의료현장에서 제대로 실현될 수 있다면 가치 관련 문제를 의학적 문제와 함께 적절하게 해결할 수 있음을 의미하므로 의료현장의 주요 당사자들 모두에게 그야말로 환상적인 일이 될 것이다. 그러나 이를 실현하기 위해서는 우선적으로 의료계 내부의 각성과 분발이 요구된다. 우리의 의료현장에 바탕을 둔 일상적인 가치 관련 문제에 대한 연구가 절실히 필요하며, 이런 실증적 연구 성과를 반영하여 임상윤리 교육을 설계하고 시행해야 한다. Clinical ethics can enhance medical care by addressing the value-related issues that arise in clinical practice. However, in order for clinical ethics to play this role, further research is needed on value-related issues, especially those that relate to the practice of medicine. Ethics education for clinical practice should be designed according to the empirical research results described in this article.
