dc.description.abstractHorizontal Vacuum-Drain Method is one of the surface soil stabilization techniques. The final purpose of this method is to improve soft ground using horizontal drain board loaded by the vacuum pressure at the end of side. The influence factors are mainly consist of two factors ; One is the development of appropriate vacuum system which affect the decision of validity and the effective distance of vacuum pressure, and the others are the physical, chemical and mechanical properties of horizontal drain board such as strength of drain filter such as shearing strength, tearing strength, and trapezoid strength. In this study, strength properties of horizontal drain filter are firstly investigated and then discharge capacities of horizontal drain board due to the test type are presented.en_US
