Abstract

The certification of the ISO 9000 has been increased rapidly in the construction industry to achieve better quality. However, characteristics of construction projects are not properly considered when the quality assurance system is developed. Meanwhile the current ISO 9000 family of quality management and quality assurance standards are being revised. New changes will require users to approach quality management systems as a series of processes, and not merely follow, for example, the twenty requirements given in ISO 9001:1994. The objective of this study is application of quality assurance system based on new IS O 9001:2000 to the apartment housing projects. The process of this study is (1) establishing apartment business process (2) conversing the existing quality plan construction to new Quality Plan with ISO 9001:2000, and (3) developing web-based Quality Assurance System for apartment housing projects
