Abstract
This paper examines Sandeaji(Wild Pig), a drama by Kim, Woo-Jin, with a special focus on the intertexuality with Nanpa(Wreckage), under the assumption that the works by the same author are interrelated with each other. It is argued thar the main charmer in Sandeaji, Choi Won-Bong, is a modified version of Poet, the main character in Nanpa, with his personality flaws improved. The changes between the two characters are mainly of three different kinds: First of all, if Poet is a type character, Choi Won-Bong in Sandeaji is an individual character. Secondly, Poet, who goes through self-awakening in Nanpa, develops into a person who realizes the necessity of group consciousness in Sandeaji. Lastly, there is a heightened realization about the absurd reality and a stronger will to find an ideal world in Sandeaji. It seems that these changes result from the author's consideration about the ways to break up the irrational reality, which is symbolized as the 'stubborn rock', and to build the ideal world. In sum, the author claims through this drama that if the young generation seek self-awakening with strong awareness about the reality, they can ger closer to the ideal world.
