Abstract
After the reform of the energy rating system, research on high efficiency as well as the cost competitiveness of electric motors in home appliances has been actively conducted. The system air conditioner set consists of components such as compressor, controller and fan motor, and improves the air conditioner set efficiency. In this study, the SPMSM (Surface Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) was changed to the Spoke type permanent magnet synchronous motor (Spoke type PMSM) to derive an efficient model and a Low cost model. To achieve these research objectives, the output characteristics of conventional SPMSM and Spoke-type PMSMs were compared and analyzed to confirm the effect of improving the efficiency of rotor type changes. The pole and slot combination was selected through efficiency comparison by slot combination. In addition, the improved design of the rotor core of the Spoke type PMSM was reviewed to reduce torque ripple compared to SPMSM. An improved rotor core design was reviewed in parallel with magnetization design and demagnetization analysis. Through magnetization design, one-time magnetization was proposed, and a magnetization yoke and magnetic power specifications were derived. The magnetic strength of the ferrite permanent magnet applied to the Spoke type PMSM was examined through low temperature demagnetization analysis. Finally, motor performance and material costs were analyzed for existing SPMSM, efficient model and Low cost model. This study is expected to contribute to high efficiency and Low cost of fan motor for system air conditioning
