Guidelines of multisensory contents for museum

Abstract

최근 들어 다감각 연구가 활발히 진행되면서 최근 세계 유수의 박물관들은 단일 감각 정보뿐만 아니라 다감각 통합 전시를 통해 전시를 확대하고 있다. 이와 같이 관람객의 관심과 경험을 높이기 위해 다감각전시가 활발히 열리고 있지만, 실무자들이 다감각 전시를 제작하고 기획하는데 필요한 가이드라인에 대한 연구는 현재까지 부족한 시점이다. 따라서, 본 연구에는 다감각 전시를 기획하고 제작하기 위해 실무자들이 활용할 수 있는 박물관 다감각 전시 콘텐츠 가이드라인을 만드는 데 목적이 있다. 가이드라인을 만들기 위한 3단계의 연구를 진행하였으며, 첫 번째 단계는 학문적 연구에서 다감각 전시 연구가 어떻게 진행되는지 체계적 검토를 통해 잠재적인 가이드라인을 수집하였다. 두 번째 단계에서는 세계 유수의 박물관에서 진행된 최신 다감각 전시 사례와 국립과천과학관의 공룡특별전에서 진행한 전시, 실험 데이터를 통해 1단계에서 도출된 가이드라인을 보완하고 검증하였다. 최종적, 수정된 가이드라인이 실제 다감각 전시 콘텐츠를 제작할 때, 전문가들에게 이해 가능한 언어로 이루어져 있는지, 전시 콘텐츠에 적용가능한지, 해당가이드라인이 얼마나 중요한지 여부를 3명의 전문가를 통해 평가받았다. 최종 다감각 전시 가이드라인은12개이며, 후각과 미각의 연구는 제외한 시각, 청각, 청각 정보의 조합으로만 구성되어있다.; As multisensory research has been actively conducted, the world's leading museums have recently expanded not only exhibitions through single sensory stimulation but also multisensory integrated exhibitions. Recently, multisensory exhibitions are actively held to increase the interest and experience of visitors, but the guidelines necessary for producing and planning the multisensory exhibition seem to be insufficient. The purpose of this study is to make multisensory exhibition contents guidelines for museum that can be used by practitioners to plan and produce multisensory exhibitions. We conducted three steps of research to create guidelines, and the first step collected potential guidelines through systematic review to see how multisensory exhibition research is conducted in academic research. In the second step, we reviewed the latest multisensory exhibition cases and experiments conducted at the dinosaur exhibition of Gwacheon Science Museum to verify and supplement the potential guidelines for practical use. And finally, we were evaluated by 3 experts as to whether the guidelines were understandable, applicable for exhibitions, and how important the guidelines were. Our final multisensory guidelines are 12 and except for the guidelines of taste and smell information, it consists of only visual, auditory, and haptic information combination.
