한국영화사에서 일본인 관련 서술의 동향과 과제 : 일제강점기를 중심으로

Abstract

본 논문은 해방 이후부터 최근까지 발행된 일제강점기 한국영화사 관련 단행본과 논문 등을 분석의 주요 대상으로 삼아, 일본인 관련 서술이 어떻게 진행되어 왔는지에 관한 전체적인 양상을 시기 순으로 종합, 정리한 연구의 결과물이다. 해방 후 한국에서는 민족 중심, 국가 중심의 영화사가 구축되는 가운데 일본인에 관한 서술에 있어서도 필자 개인의 기억이 재구성되고 관련 내용이 (무)의식적으로 선택되는 양상을 보였다. 그러다가 1980년대 이후에는 그 질서가 흔들리고 역사적 사실을 둘러싼 논란이 펼쳐지면서 민족-국가 영화사에 균열이 생기기도 하였다. 한편, 2000년대 들어서는 포스트 콜로니얼이라는 학문적 흐름 속에 한국영화사 분야에서도 ‘식민지 조선영화’ 연구가 활성화되고 그러면서 일본인관련 내용의 비중도 커져 갔다. 이어 2010년대 이후 최근 학계에서는 식민지 조선영화(계)와 연관된 일본인에 관한 연구가 시대, 지역, 부문, 영역별로 이전에 비해 활발하게 이루어져 왔다. 하지만 여전히 연구 상의 문제가 존재하는 바, 이러한 과제를 해결하기 위해서는 보다 체계적인 연구와 활발한 논의가 필요하다. In this paper, I explore the description aspect of Japanese in Korean cinema history focusing on the Japanese Colonial Period. The subjects of the analysis are books and papers published from the liberation period(1945~1950) to the present(2010s). Since 1945, the history of cinema was described mainly in nationalism in South Korea, As for the contents of the Japanese, the writer’s memories were reconstructed and related contents were selected. Since the 1980s, the order has been shaken and the controversy surrounding the historical fact has arisen. There was also a crack in the history of Korean cinema. On the other hand, in the post-colonial trend, research on ‘colonial Joseon cinema’ was activated in the field of Korean cinema history in the 2000s. As a result, the proportion of description about Japanese has increased too. In the 2010s, studies on Japanese in the history of Korean cinema in the colonial period are actively being carried out. But there are still research limitations. Therefore, more systematic research and active discussions are needed to solve this problems.
