학습자의 가정환경, 사교육, 학습태도 및 독서향유도가 학업성취도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 가정환경, 사교육, 학습태도 및 독서향유도가 학업성취도에 어떠한 영향을 주는지 그 관계를 규명하고자 한다. 이를 위해 경기도 구리시와 일산시 소재 두 개의 인문계 고등학교 3학년 학생 192명을 대상으로 설문연구를 실시하였다. 검증에 사용된 통계처리는 SPSS14.0KO for Windows 프로그램을 사용하여 T-test, 빈도분석, 교차분석 및 이변량 상관분석을 실시하였다. 이러한 분석을 통해 나타난 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 가정환경의 지위환경은 학업성취도와 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있다. 구조환경의 사회상승주의를 제외한 학습체제, 응집력1, 응집력2, 상호태도1 및 상호태도2는 학업성취도와 유의한 차이가 있다. 과정환경은 수용-거부와 행복감이 학업성취도와 통계상 유의한 차이가 있다. 둘째, 사교육과 학업성취도와의 관계에서는 외국어영역의 사교육을 받는 경우에만 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있다. 대부분의 학생들은 부모의 교육수준과 소득수준에 관계없이 사교육을 받고 있다. 이 같은 사교육의 비정상적인 과열 현상은 학교교육의 정상화를 위해서 시급히 고려되어야 한다. 셋째, 학습태도는 학업성취도에 그 어떤 요인보다 높은 영향을 미치고 있다. 다시 말하면 학업성취도에 제일 중요한 요인은 바로 학습자 자신임을 알 수 있다. 넷째, 독서향유도는 신뢰도 99%에서 학업성취도와 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있다. 수학능력시험은 단순암기 보다 종합적인 사고력과 문제해결력을 요하므로 독서를 통해 종합적인 사고력을 길러주는 것이 중요하다. 다섯째, 학업성취도와 결정요인의 하위요인 사이에는 상관관계가 형성되는 것을 볼 수 있다. 어느 한 측면의 요인만 학업성적에 영향을 주는 것이 아니므로 각각의 변인들의 연계성을 따져서 학업성취도를 높이는 방안을 강구해야 한다. 본 연구는 학생들의 학업성취도에 중요요인으로 작용하는 가정환경, 사교육, 학습태도 및 독서향유도와 상관관계를 파악할 수 있을 뿐 아니라 후속 연구에 유의미한 기초자료가 될 것으로 기대된다.; The purpose of this study is to identify how scholastic achievement is affected by family environment, private education, learner's attitude, and reading enjoyment. We conducted a questionnaire survey of 192 third-year high school students in Guri and Ilsan city in Gyunggi-do. By using SPSS 14.0KO for Windows program, the statistical analysis method conducted T-test, frequent analysis, cross-assay and multivalent analysis. The results of this study were as follows. First, the status environment in the family environment related to school achievement showed statistical significance with the reliability of 95% between the two groups. The scholastic achievement had significance on the learning system, coherence 1, coherence 2, mutuality 1 ,and mutuality 2 in the exclusion of the desire for social position rise in structural environment. Process environment had also statistical significance with acceptance- refusal and happiness. Second, there was some significance between private education and scholastic achievement only in the area of the foreign languages. We found the fact that most students receive their private education without regard to the level of their parents' education and incomes. The results show that there are many problems having to do with the private education, and even in order to resume its due function of the public education system, the problems of private education have to be resolved as soon as possible. Third, learner's attitude has higher impact on the scholastic achievement than any other causes/factors. In other words, the most important factor having to do with school achievement is the student him/herself. Fourth, reading enjoyment also had statistical significance on the school achievement ,having the reliability of 99%. Korean College Scholastic Ability Test(CSAT) is a test that requires problem-solving ability as well as systematic thinking rather than simple memorization; therefore, this is why cultivating the systematic thinking through reading is important. Fifth, there is a view that scholastic achievement and lower factor of decision factor forms correlation. One certain portion of factor does not only influence on the scholastic grades. There is a need of pursuing the way to raise scholastic achievement by considering connections of each variables. This study is expected to be the basically valuable data not only for analyzing the correlation among the family environment, private education, learner's attitude and reading enjoyment which is regarded as the important factors in scholastic achievement but also being used as the following studies in the future.
