Project Management 방법론 적용이 Elevator New Equipment 산업의 경영성과에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구

Abstract

1965년 미국 Project Management Institute의 본격적인 결성과 더불어 Project 관리 기법을 종합적으로 정리해놓은 PMBOK 지침서는 R&D, 소프트 웨어 개발, 건설 산업 등 프로젝트 기반의 다양한 산업 군에서 적용되어 오면서, 관리 효율성 및 프로젝트 수익성 향상에 크게 기여하여 왔고, 이와 동시에 위 산업 군에서는 PMBOK의 활용 및 적용에 대한 다양한 연구가 수행되어져 왔다. 그러나, Elevator New Equipment 산업의 경우 Temporariness, Unique Output, Progressive Elaboration 등 대표적인 프로젝트 업무의 특성을 모두 가지고 있으나, 현재 관련 산업의 관리 체계는 기능 조직을 기반으로 한 관리 체계 하에 있어 그 효율성이 떨어지는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 또한 영업 매출과 더불어 프로젝트가 종료 되기까지의 원가 변동 및 최종 Net margin이 수익성에 있어서 상당히 중요한 요소임에도 불구하고, 프로젝트 Margin에 대한 통제 및 검증 관리 방법의 부재로 인하여, 프로젝트의 최종 Margin을 악화 시키는 문제점이 증가하고 있다. 이에 Elevator New Equipment 산업에 적합한 Project Management 방법에 대한 연구가 필요하다고 판단되어 연구 주제로 선정하였다. 이에 본 연구를 통하여 1) 기존의 엘리베이터 산업군 내 기업들의 조직 구조 및 프로젝트 방법상의 문제점을 환기하고, 2) PMBOK○R의 프로젝트 관리 방법론을 기초로 엘리베이터 신규 설치 산업에 적합한 조직구조 및 관리 방법론을 도출하였으며 3) 이를 기반으로 각 단계별 주요 고려사항을 제시하였다. 4) 또한, 본 논문에서 제시한 방법론을 국내 엘리베이터 시장점유율 1위 업체인 "O"社의 프로젝트 들에 규모별로 적용한 실증 데이터를 바탕으로 그 유의성 및 효과성을 비교/분석하여 객관적인 자료로 나타내었다. 본 연구 결과로 인하여 기존의 엘리베이터 산업의 조직 구조 및 관리 방법론에 대한 고찰이 수행되었고, 엘리베이터 산업에 적합한 효율적인 프로젝트 관리 방법론이 제시되었다. 또한, 이를 통하여 관련 산업군에는 다음과 같은 이점을 제공한다. 1) 최적의 프로젝트 관리 기법 도입을 통한 효율성 증대 2) 원가 악화 및 향상요소에 대한 입찰전 종합 점검을 통한 수익성 향상 3) 프로젝트 위험 요소 최소화를 위한 핵심 포인트 도출 4) 프로젝트 관리 기법과 수익성 간의 관계 정립 5) 엘리베이터 산업에 프로젝트 관리 기초 자료 제공; In 1965, America Project Management Institute was officially established and PMBOK?? guide book which presents a variety of project management methodologies has been used in the project based industries such as R&D, Sofrware development, Construction projects. Therefore PMBOK?? has been contributed to the improvement of management efficiency and project margin meanwhile, in the related industries, it has been conducted lots of researches for application and customization. However, elevator new equipment industry has been managed by functional organization even though it has a typical character of project work like as Temporariness, Unique output and Prograssive elablration. Therefore it has been caused the substaintally low management efficiency. Consequentrly, though estimation cost variances and final net margin till project closing are very important factor of management performance as well as sales margin, the rack of project margin risk control and assessment method has being increased the worse margin when the projects are finalized. Thus, this study was conducted deu to a requiremnet of proper project management methodolygy for elevator new equipment industry. In the result from research, this study shows how to manage the elevator new equipment project and realizes follwings; 1) Review about the previous elevator management methodology and organization. 2) Suggest for the optimized management mothodology and organization via elevator new equipment industry based on project management instruction of PMBOK??. 3) Present critical properties per management status 4) Proof the efficiency of suggested methodology thoughout statistical verification for actual data. In conclusion, this study is expected to provide the following advantages: 1) Improving of management efficiency according to optimized project management methodology 2) Increasement of margin rate according to pre biding check for cost risk and opportunity. 3) Recongnization of critical point for project risk minimization 4) Establishing the relationship between project management methodology and margin 5) Providing the foundation material of project management for elevator new-equipment industry.
