벤처기업의 성과에 미치는 벤처인큐베이팅의 역할에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 인큐베이팅 서비스가 우리나라 벤처기업을 중심으로 한 중소기업에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 벤처기업을 포함한 중소기업 중 인큐베이팅 서비스를 받은 업체를 대상으로 지원받은 인큐베이팅 서비스를 기술적 자원, 기술적 지식, 경영자원, 경영지식으로 나누어 이들이 기업성장에 미치는 영향을 기술개발역량과 경영역량 등으로 구분해 각각에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 본 연구에서 사용한 표본기업은 최근 3년 이내에 국가기관이나 벤처 캐피탈 또는 그 외 민간 인큐베이팅 컨설팅 업체로부터 인큐베이팅 컨설팅 서비스를 받아본 경험이 있는 56개의 기업이며 본 연구가 회귀분석, 매개회귀분석 등을 실시한 연구결과는 다음과 같다 첫째, 인큐베이팅 서비스를 통해 지원받은 기술적 자원과 기술적 지식 또한 경영자원과 경영지식은 각각 기업의 기술개발역량과 기업경영역량에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다. 둘째, 인큐베이팅 서비스를 통해 지원받은 기술적 자원과 경영자원은 각각 기업의 기술적 지식 축적과 기업경영지식 축적에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다. 셋째, 경영자원으로 축적된 경영지식은 기업경영역량을 강화시키는데 매개체 역할을 하지만, 기술적 자원으로 축적된 기술적 지식은 기업의 기술개발역량을 강화시키는데 매개체 역할을 하지 못한다. 하지만 이는 본 연구의 표본대상인 벤처기업의 특성상 기술부분에 있어서는 인큐베이팅 서비스로 인해 그 역량이 강화되었다기보다 기업 자체적인 노력으로 기술개발을 이루었다는 기업인들은 자부심이 나타낸 결론이라 할 수 있다. 본 연구를 통해 기업의 역량 강화를 위해 인큐베이팅 서비스의 역할이 중요하며 그 효과 또한 두드러짐을 알게 되었다. 따라서 국가나 벤처캐피탈과 같은 민간 기업 차원에서 인큐베이팅이 필요한 기업인들에게 그 필요성과 효과를 알리고 다양한 방법으로 서비스를 제공하는 것이 중요하다. 나아가 자체적인 인력으로 인큐베이팅 서비스의 내용을 소화시키고 있는 기업들과의 비교를 통해 외부 컨설팅을 통한 인큐베이팅 서비스의 효율성에 대한 연구가 필요하다고 판단된다.; This study examined effects of the incubating services upon results of venture businesses in the nation. The subjects were small businesses including venture businesses: The study classified incubating services of those businesses into technical resources, technical knowledge, management resources and management knowledge, etc to investigate effects of the services upon business growth depending upon technology development ability and management ability. The technology development ability consisted of consumers’ loyalty to the products, product quality competitiveness, expected patent/designs/production/number of trademark right (three years or less in the future), research planning and management ability, and satisfactions with R&D personnel. And, the management ability consisted of price competitiveness of the products, market information analysis ability, financing ability, marketing ability, flexibility of relations between interest groups, and technology commercialization ability, etc. In this study, sample businesses were 56 businesses that were given incubating consulting services from government organizations, venture capital and private incubating consulting businesses. Regression analysis and mediated regression analysis were used. The findings were as follow: Firstly, not only technical resources but also technical knowledge that was given through incubating services had affirmative influence upon management resources, while not only management resources but also management knowledge did upon improvement of management ability. Secondly, not only technical resources but also management resources that were given through incubating services had affirmative influence upon accumulation of technical knowledge as well as business administration knowledge respectively. Thirdly, management knowledge that was obtained by management resources could play role of medium reinforcing business management ability, while technical knowledge that was obtained by technical resources did not play role of medium reinforcing technical development ability of businesses. In this study, however, the venture businesses could reinforce technical ability by technical development of the businesses themselves more than by incubating services to let venture businessmen have pride. In this study, roles of incubating services were important to reinforce business abilities and to be much effective. Therefore, the government and private consulting service businesses such as venture capital were demanded to inform businessmen requiring incubating services of needs as well as effects to supply the services in various ways. The venture businesses that carry out contents of incubating services by their own personnel should ask external consulting services to research efficiency of incubating services.
