단말기용 다중 대역 소형 칩 안테나 설계

Abstract

본 논문에서는 다중 대역 (GSM850, GSM900, GPS, KPCS, USPCS / GSM900, UPCS, Bluetooth) 에서 동작하는 휴대폰의 내부 장착형 칩 안테나에 대해 서술하고 있다. 상기 안테나의 크기는 20mm 높이, 8.2mm 폭, 그리고 3.2mm 두께의 부피와 30mm 높이, 6mm 폭, 3.2mm 두께의 두가지 형태로 제작되어 다른 안테나에 비해 핸드폰의 차지하는 면적을 최대한 줄이도록 설계되었다. 본 안테나는 제각기 다른 형태의 3 가지 공진 패턴을 가지는 가지 형태의 안테나이어서 각각 공진하는 곳을 조절하기 용이하게 하였다. 또한 각 고주파 공진주파수들을 겹치게 함으로써 광대역을 얻을 수 있도록 설계, 제작되었다. 설계는 상용 소프트웨어인 HFSS 3-D 시뮬레이터로 설계가 되었고, 소형화를 위해서 비유전율 4.4의 FR-4 유전체 위에 변형된 나선형 미엔더 패턴과 접은 형태의 미엔더 패턴을 가지형태 구조와 원형 도통관(Via)으로 연결하였다. 본 안테나는 휴대 단말기에 장착이 용이하도록 SMD 형태로 제작되었으며 인쇄 회로 기판(PCB) 기술을 사용하여 저렴한 가격에 대량 생산이 가능하도록 하였다.; In this paper, an internal chip type antenna for penta-band (GSM850, GSM900, GSP, KPCS, USPCS) mobile handset is presented. The size of the proposed antenna is 20 х 3.2 х 8.2mm3 to be easily installed to mobile handset. This chip type antenna is designed on FR-4(εr=4.4) by using PCB technology. The proposed antenna consists of the branch structure adding two different resonant structures and the tuning pattern. By adjusting three structures, this antenna has multi-wide band. The measured impedance bandwidth(under VSWR 3:1) on the ground having same size of mobile phone of general bar type or slide type is 160MHz(880-1040 MHz), 90MHz(1550-1640MHz), and 330MHz(1790- 2120MHz).
