Freudenthal의 RME 이론에 기초한 MIC교과서와 우리나라 교과서의 비교연구

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 프로이덴탈의 수학화 이론과 현실적 수학교육(RME)의 원리를 적용하여 만들어진 MIC 수학교과서와 우리나라 교과서를 비교해 봄으로써 각 교과서의 장·단점에 대해 생각해 보고 앞으로 우리나라 교과서 개발에 도움이 될 만한 시사점을 도출하는데 있다. 우선, 수학을 인간의 활동으로 보는 프로이덴탈의 수학교육 사상을 바탕으로 한 현실적 수학교육(RME)이론의 배경과 이를 토대로 한 수업이론을 고찰하였다. 또 본 이론에서 강조하는 수업원리와 철학을 근거로 하여 만들어진 MIC교과서와 우리나라 교과서의 기하 단원 중에 도형의 닮음 부분을 여러 가지 그림과 표를 통해서 비교 연구해 보았다. 특히 프로이덴탈의 RME이론의 특징을 잘 보여줄 수 있는 교과서의 전체적인 구성과 개념학습에 사용된 소재에 큰 비중을 두어 전개하였다.; The goal of the current study is to compare the MIC texts, which incorporate the theory of realistic mathematics education(RME) by Freudenthal, with Korean texts of mathematics, thereby to recognize the merits and demerits of each of the two groups and eventually to find ways which might improve our mathematics texts. First of all we surveyed the theory of RME by Freudenthal, which is based on his idea that mathematics is a human activity, and also his opinions concerning classroom mathematics. We compared MIC texts with our texts of mathematics concentrating on how each of the groups treat the subject of geometry. We paid a special attention to the aspects of the structure and the materials of MIC texts which implement the RME theory.
