소설설계도를 활용한 소설 창작 교육방법 연구

Abstract

학교 교육의 관점에서 보면, 소설 창작 교육은 문학교육의 범주에 포함되고 문학교육은 다시 국어교육이란 큰 영역에 속해 있다. 문학교육의 목표에는 문학 능력의 증진을 통한 세계에 대한 인식의 발전, 가치관 발전, 자아정체성 형성 등이 있을 수 있고 동시에 국어능력의 신장이라는 국어과 교육 목표 또한 포함된다. 국어과 교육의 목표를 달성할 수 있는 교육은 여러 형태가 있겠으나 이런 교육 효과들이 소설 창작 교육에 의해 성취되려면 일단 소설 창작 능력이 우선적으로 향상되어야 할 것이다. 소설을 창작할 수 있는 능력, 이를테면 소설의 형식에 대한 앎, 내용에 대한 앎, 소설을 만들 수 있는 방법에 대한 앎과 같은 창작 능력의 증진이 교수ㆍ학습의 직접적인 목표가 되고 그것이 평가될 수 있을 때 제반 교육 효과들이 달성되는 것이라 볼 수 있다. 그러기 위해서 소설 창작 교육은 유효한 창작 방법론을 제시할 수 있어야 하고 그것은 창작 교육의 본질이랄 수 있는 텍스트의 생산을 경험할 수 있는 실질적인 것이어야 하며 동시에 소설 지식의 향상도 꾀할 수 있는 것이어야 한다. 이 연구는 소설설계도를 활용한 소설 창작 교육의 방법론을 제시하고 그 핵심과제로써 소설설계도를 먼저 구안했다. 소설설계도가 유용한 소설 창작의 도구가 될 수 있음에도 불구하고 제한적으로 활용될 수밖에 없는 것은 그것에 대한 인식과 모형이 발전적으로 형성되지 못했기 때문이다. 이에 따라, 선택 교과인 고등학교 문학 교과서에 실린 소설설계도를 중심으로 문제를 제기하고 그것이 효과적으로 갖추어야 할 구조와 개념에 대해 정리하고자 했다. 소설설계도가 <틀>의 역할을 해야 하는 것이라면 그것을 통해 생산되는 어떤 고유한 형태가 있어야할 것이고 이는 고유한 기능을 가질 것을 요구한다. 따라서 소설설계도의 기능을 내용 생성과 조직으로 하되 과학적인 방법에 의해 고유한 방식의 생성이 가능하도록, 착상단계, 구체화단계, 조직단계로 구조를 모색하였으며 각 요소들에 대한 구성 원리를 밝혔다. 준비단계와 작성단계로 교수ㆍ학습 지도안을 마련하였고 소설설계도의 생산성이나 작성방법의 수준에 있어서 문제는 없는지 점검하고 그 결과물을 제시하였으며 소설 창작 교육에 있어서 내용을 계량화해서 평가할 수 있는 방법이 있음을 논의한 뒤 연구의 의의를 결론에 붙였다.; From a standpoint of school education, fiction writing education belongs to literature education, and literature education belongs to Korean language education in a large scale. The goal of literature education includes developing the awareness of the world, values, and self-identity through cultivation of literary capacities, as well as improvement of the abilities to use Korean language, which is also a goal of Korean language education. There are a variety of types of education to achieve goals of Korean language education, but fiction writing abilities should be improved first of all to gain such educational effects through fiction writing education. This study presents a methodology of fiction writing education by means of novel blueprint, and the novel blueprint is explored first as the key factor. Although novel blueprint can be a useful method of fiction writing, it has been utilized to a limited extent since the awareness and pattern of it has not been developed enough. Thus, an issue is raised in this respect centering on novel blueprints presented in high school literary textbooks, and the structure and concept that they should be effectively equipped with are addressed. As novel blueprint plays the role of 'a framework,' there should be a unique form that is produced through it, and the form should have the unique functions. Therefore, on the assumption that the functions of novel blueprint include contents production and composition, the structure is specified to conceiving, embodiment, and composition in order to enable the production of the unique patterns. Besides, the basic principles of each element are clarified. For the preparation and framing steps, the teaching/learning plan is prepared, the method through which the contents in fiction writing education can be quantified and evaluated is discussed, and lastly, the significance of this study follows after the conclusion.
