사회자본, 자아존중감, 친구관계가 청소년의 학교생활적응에 미치는 영향

Abstract

본 연구는 자아정체감이 확립되는 시기인 청소년기의 과도기적 특성을 감안하여 학업성취 일변도의 관심에서 벗어나 사회자본, 자아존중감, 친구관계가 어떻게 남, 녀 청소년의 학교생활적응에 영향을 미치는지를 설명하는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구에서 사용한 자료는 한국청소년개발원에서 2003년에서 2008년까지 실시하는 종단적 연구인 청소년패널조사의 참여패널인 중학교 2학년생(남학생 1725명, 여학생 1724명, 이 외는 결측값)의 4차년도 데이터이다. 자료는 SPSS 16.0으로 통계처리되었으며 빈도, 백분율 등의 기술통계 외에 상관관계분석, 독립표본 t 검정, 일원배치분산분석, 다중회귀분석이 사용되었으며 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 성별에 따라 청소년의 학교생활적응에는 유의한 차이가 존재하지 않았으며 청소년의 자아존중감, 가정 사회자본, 학교사회자본이 높을수록 친구관계가 좋을수록 학교생활적응 수준이 높았다. 남, 녀 청소년 모두 공히 자아존중감이 학교생활적응에 가장 큰 영향을 미치고 있었고 친구관계가 두 번째로 영향을 미치고 있음이 밝혀졌다. 사회자본은 지역사회 사회자본을 제외한 가정, 학교사회자본이 청소년의 학교생활적응에 유의한 영향을 미치고 있었는데 여자 청소년의 경우 사회자본의 학교생활적응에 대한 영향이 남자 청소년보다 더 큰 것으로 나타났다.; The purpose of the research is to explain the influence by social capital, self-esteem, peer relationship on adolescents' school adjustment rather than scholastic achievement considering adolescents transitional characteristic. Participants were 3449 middle school seniors participating in the Korea Youth Panel Study by National Youth Policy Institute. Data were analyzed by pearson's correlation, independent t test, ANOVA, multiple regression by SPSS 16.0 The major findings are as follows. First, there is no significant difference in school adjustment by sex and as level of self-esteem, household social capital, school social capital and peer relationship are good, adolescents adopt themselves school life more easily. Self esteem is best significant factor in school adjustment and peer relation is the next. As for social capital, household and school social capital were proved to influence on school adjustment but community social capital has no influence. And female adolescents were more influenced by household and school social capital compared to male adolescents.
