무선 센서 네트워크를 위한 확장 가능한 DV-Hop 측위 알고리즘

Abstract

무선 센서 네트워크(Wireless Sensor Network: WSN) 환경에서 정보추적, 라우팅 등의 기능을 수행하기 위하여 센서노드의 위치를 측정하는 것을 매우 중요하다. 무선 센서 네트워크에서 노드들의 지리적 또는 논리적인 위치 정보를 이용하면 효율적으로 라우팅을 할 수 있고, 네트워크의 확장성을 높일 수 있으며, 위치기반 기술을 접목하여 다양한 응용 서비스의 효과적인 지원을 기대할 수 있다. 분산된 측위 시스템은 거리 기반(range-based)과 비거리 기반(range-free)의 두 가지 시스템으로 분류 될 수 있다. 센서 노드들은 하드웨어가 많이 제약되어 있기 때문에 거리를 측정하기 위한 특별한 하드웨어가 있는 거리 기반 측위 시스템은 무선 센서 네트워크 환경에 적합하지 않다. 그래서 본 논문에서는 비거리 기반 측위 시스템의 한 종류인 홉에 의한 거리(hop-distance)와 홉의 수를 사용하여 노드간의 거리를 추정하는 Distance Vector - Hop(DV-Hop)을 사용하였다. 그러나 이러한 시스템은 노드의 수가 많아지거나 네트워크의 크기가 커지는 것에 비례하여 통신비용이 커지는 단점이 있다. 그래서 본 논문에서는 가장 적은 홉의 수를 이용하여 영역을 나누어 통신비용을 줄일 수 있는 알고리즘에 대해 소개하고, 또한 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통해 제한한 알고리즘의 성능을 평가하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과를 통해서 제안한 알고리즘들이 기존의 알고리즘들에 비해 통신비용이 많이 줄어드는 것을 확인할 수 있다.; In wireless sensor network(WSN), the localization of sensor node is an important problem for information tracking and routing. If we use geographical or logical localization information of sensor nodes, we can use efficient for the routing in WSN and we can be increased the scalability of the network. We can expect for the efficient applications, when the WSNs are combined with localization-based technology. The localization can be categorized as range-free and range-based system. Since the sensor nodes are made to be cheap and small, the range-based system using special devices for measurements are unsuitable in WSN. DV-Hop is one of the range-free localization algorithms using average hop-distance and number of hop counts. But it requires heavy communication cost if the number of nodes increases in the network. Therefore, we propose a simple algorithm to reduce the communication cost and its performance is verified via computer simulations.
