dc.description.abstractElectrode thickness effect of layer-by-layer grown cadmium oxide (CdO) film electrode on electrochemical capacitors is investigated. Different cycles are used to obtain different film thicknesses. Increase in crystallinity with number of CdO particles per square centimeter area are confirmed from the X-ray diffraction and scanning-electron-microscopy images, respectively. The geometrical capacitance is increased from 43 to 262 mF/cm² due to the increase in voltammetric charge with increase in electrode thickness from 0.24 to 0.79 mg/cm², in 1 M Na₂SO₄ electrolyte at 20 mV/s.-
