Abstract
The deck crane is the crane installed on the deck of a ship. It is for moving cargos from ship to wharf or vice versa. There is little research of the deck crane. Only a few small shipbuilder make deck crane under foreign licenses. A deck crane is controlled mainly by three hydraulic control system, i.e. hoisting, luffing and slewing system. In hoisting control system there are used the 'load-sensing' method, which allowed automatic adjustment of motor's rotational speed depending on the load. The effective parameters are analysed in design through hydraulic circuit analysis. Since the stability and accuracy of the system is important, all circuit analysis were conducted using AMESim, a leading commercial modeling program in the fields of hydraulics control system. To make accurate position control, it need a proper winch speed according to operator's control. In this study, we make the deck crane simulation model based on inner hydraulic circuit design using AMESim program and simulate with changing load and then make an analysis of a correlation between operator's control input and winch drum speed output.
