dc.description.abstractIn this work, we investigate separating characteristics of the hollow fiber membrane by comparing four flow patterns. We consider separation CO2 using the membrane made of PBO which exhibits high gas permeability. Dynamic simulation of the hollow fiber membrane is difficult because there are many variables. Based on minimal assumptions, we can construct a series model by separating the separation section into several cells. Based on the model developed, we can evaluate carbon dioxide separation cost to find out the optimal separation conditions. We focus on the evaluation of process variables on gas separation as well as on economic aspects. We can see that the proposed model shows higher accuracy than other four flow patterns. From the economic analysis, we can see that the optimal configuration is positing equipment in front of the hollow fiber membrane.-
