dc.description.abstractThis work reports a novel multipurpose colorimetric and fluorescent sensor system of PDMS film and microfluidic device through incorporation of photochromic spiropyran molecules. Some salient features of the new system include (1) ready preparation of the spiropyran-embedded PDMS by simply mixing the PDMS prepolymer solution with spiropyran material, (2) flexibility of diverse functional photochromic or fluorescent materials available for HCl gas sensing, and (3) possibility of application to selective separation membrane for various non-condensable gas such as N2 and hydrocarbon based on spiropyran-embedded PDMS channel.-
