dc.description.abstract | The possibility of cure kinetics control using fast curing agent (RH) and Poly(propyleneglycol)bis(2-aminopropylether) (Jeffamine) on the curing behavior of hydrogenated bisphenol A (HBA) and difunctional polyglycidyl epoxide (DPE) was studied by differential scanning calorimeter (DSC), measurement of curing viscosity and temperature. In these systems, cure kinetics and viscosity of epoxy resin were optimized by applying two different curing agents and hardener. According to exothermic heat, this system has lower curing temperature than commercial products which is typically used in Korea for stone conservation. Additionally, bending and tensile strength of the epoxy resins was measured to examine the mechanical stabilities for stone conservation. It was thus suggested that several compositions of epoxy resins were developed to control the curing kinetics and consequently temperature of the system. | - |
