In this study, the process which uses the dry absorbent has been conducted in order to searching optimum .HCl absorption reaction conditions. The absorbents in this experiment were Ca(OH)2-A, Ca(OH)2-B and CaO. They were charged in fixed-bed reactor for experiment. The reaction temperature of Ca(OH)2 were between 200~400 ℃, CaO were between at 500~700 ℃. The reaction gases were mixture of HCl gas(3000 ppm) and nitrogen gas. The reaction gas of 2 L/min was injected to the reactor. The conversion of HCl of Ca(OH)2 shows as the temperature increased, the conversion of HCl was increased. Consequently, Ca(OH)2-B showed the maximum rate of 32.29% at 400 ℃. CaO also showed the tendency for the same result as Ca(OH)2. Reaction rate experiment of the average of particle size showed an increase when the reaction temperature rose. The highest rate of Ca(OH)2-B was the 1556.79 [] at 400 ℃. All absorbents in this experiment showed that the reaction rate were decreased by increasing the size of the particles at each temperature. The kinetics of the reaction between sorbents and HCl showed that the activation energy was about 5082 J/mol at Ca(OH)2-A, about 3414 J/mol at Ca(OH)2-B, and about 13228 J/mol at CaO.-
