Abstract
With the continuous improvement of living standards, small electric vehicles are more and more widely used as sightseeing car in tourist area, golf carts and living quarter transport, so the market demand is increased. The traditional internal combustion engine cars have been gradually withdrawn from the market because of its high cost and serious pollution, and small electric vehicles have become the best substitute. Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) has a simple structure, low manufacturing costs and high torque output within low current. As anew drive system, the switched reluctance drive system (SRD) based on SRM has high cost performance ratio, and it is one of the most excellent solutions for electric system for vehicle drive. First, analysis the development and the current research at home and abroad of the electric golf carts, contrasts the most common drive system, points out the advantage of SRD when it used as the driving system of the small electric vehicles, and briefly introduces the basic structure, working principle of the switched reluctance motor. Secondly, designs the basic parameters of the motor according to the performance requirement of the golf car, establishes and optimizes the RMxprt model, simulates the fundamental performance of motor though the fast nonlinear and the finite element analysis method to verify the correctness of the designed motor. Thirdly, the system adopts the TMS320F28335 DSP to build digital controllers, implements electric motoring and power generation for electric motor. According to electric vehicle running in the actual situation, I make experiments for electric and power generation separately. Finally I get the experimental data and waveforms, analyze the results and obtain the experimental results. Experimental results show that the switched reluctance motor for electric vehicles are feasible in practice and has a good prospect.
