Abstract
The aim of this research was to develop a multi-residue analytical method for screening of pesticide residues in fishery products in order to reinforce safety regulation of importing and distributing fishes. Thirty-six pesticides were chosen as target compounds and the target species were flatfish, shrimp and eel. Pesticide residues in fishery products were extracted with water and acetonitrile. The extracts were cleaned up with primary secondary amine (PSA) and C18 sorbents. The prepared fish samples were analyzed with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The developed screening method was validated and evaluated for quantitative and qualitative performance. The developed multi-residue methods can be applicable to fast screening analysis of harmful residues in fishery products, and they will support the food safety control systems.
