SNS기반 여중생 그림모임 “유기농팸” 활동의 교육적 의미에 관한 질적 사례연구

Abstract

본 연구는 학교 밖 온라인 공간에서 자발적인 미술학습경험을 이어가고 있는 청소년들의 미술활동에 대한 심층적 이해가 필요하며, 이 이해를 바탕으로 학교 미술교육의 변화가 모색되어야 한다는 문제의식에서 출발되었다. 이를 위해 연구자들은 여중생들의 SNS기반 온라인 그림모임인 “유기농팸”의 활동을 질적사례 연구방법을 사용하여 심층적으로 탐구하였다. 연구결과 “유기농팸”이라는 자발적 온라인 그림모임이 참여 여중생들에게 “자유로운 의사소통의 장”과 “자기주도적 미술학습의 장”으로서 기능하고 있음을 발견할 수 있었다. “자유로운 의사소통의 장”으로서 이 온라인 미술모임 내 활동들은 청소년들이 “자유로운 소통을 기반으로 할 때 보다 더 성장할 수 있다는 것” 그리고 “결과보다는 과정이 공유되는 관계”를 희망하고 있다는 것을 보여주었다. 또한 이 온라인 미술모임은 멤버들 스스로가 “창작과 재창작”을 순환하는 방식을 통해, “폰그림”의 장점을 적극적으로 취하는 방식으로 그리고 적극적 “또래 교수-학습”을 통해 자기주도적으로 미술학습을 진행하고 있다는 것을 보여주었다. 본 연구 결과로부터 학교미술교육에서의 교수-학습 방법과 관련한 중요한 시사점을 도출할 수 있었다. In this study, teenagers used digital media actively and moved their main activity space to online. However, many schools still teach art in the existing traditional way. Therefore, we started with our research interest in young people who are continuing their art learning experiences using digital technologies online. This study is designed as a qualitative case study aiming at exploring educational meanings and functions of middle school girls’ interactions online. The results of study shows two categories and five groups of themes about the art activities conducted in the middle school girls’ SNS-Based online drawing group, “Yuginong Fam,’ as follows: the first category is “Yuginong Fam’ as a space of free communication among members and the second one is as a space of self-directed learning. The first category is consisted of two groups of themes such as (1) relationships that allow free communication is the foundation of growth and (2) relationships in which processes are shared. The second category is consisted of three groups of thems such as (1) creation and re-creation, (2) what smart mobile phone make us possible, and (3) peer teaching-learning.This study let art educators know what teenager girls who seems to lose their interest in art want to do and learn through art. They still have passion to explore their identity drawing their self-characters and to develop their expressive skills with others. This study makes us realize what we have forgotten in school art education.
