VR(가상현실기술)을 활용한 도시철도 기관사 교육훈련환경의 구축 및 효과에 대한 연구

Abstract

항상 사회적 이슈가 되는 지하철 운행장애 및 열차지연, 차량고장 등의 철도사고는 여전히 도시철도의 안전을 위협하는 큰 원인이 되고 있다. 이 중 많은 부분을 차지하는 도시철도 기관사들의 휴먼에러의 원인규명과 예방을 위한 연구는 활발하지만 직접적인 기관사들의 교육프로세스와 교육교보재에 대한 연구과 발전은 아직은 더디고 미흡한 것이 현실이다. 현재 서울의 지하철을 운영하고 있는 서울교통공사에서 실시하고 있는 기관사 교육시스템은 일방향적, 이론교육위주의 방식에 머물고 있으며 제한적이고 비효율적인 교육시스템으로 인한 2280명의 도시철도 기관사들의 기량 편차는 비상상황이나 차량고장 등 점점 다양해지는 이례상황에서의 대응능력의 저하로 이어지고 새로운 형태의 병발사고 등을 유발하여 시민들의 안전에 큰 위협이 될 수 있다. 본 연구는 4차 산업혁명의 거대한 물결 중 하나인 VR기술을 활용하여 적은 비용으로 물리적, 공간적 제약이 없이 도시철도 기관사의 비상조치훈련과 이례상황훈련, 기관사들의 선로운전연습을 가능하게 하는 새로운 형태의 교육교보재인 “VR 기관사 교육훈련 시스템”을 구축하고 4호선 현직에서 승무하고 있는 기관사들에게 직접 적용해보고 그 효과에 대해 분석하였다. 또한 유지관리 비용과 물리적 제약은 적고 교육수용률과 학습효과는 높은 “VR 기관사 교육훈련 시스템”이 서울의 대표적인 지하철 운영기관인 서울교통공사의 FTS시뮬레이터와 모의 운전연습기로 대표되는 기존의 기관사 교육시스템을 보완 해 줄 새로운 교육교보재로 자리 잡기위해 요구되는 개선점들과 앞으로 나아가야 할 방향에 대해 제시하고자 한다.; Railway accidents such as subway operation disturbances, train delays and vehicle breakdowns, which are always social issues, are still a major cause of the safety of urban railways. The variance of 2280 urban railway engineers due to limited and ineffective education system, It is possible to reduce the ability to cope with an increasingly diverse situation, such as breakdown, and to cause a new type of accidents, which can pose a serious threat to the safety of citizens. This study was conducted to investigate the effects of VR technology, which is one of the major waves of the 4th Industrial Revolution, in a new form that enables the training of emergency trainers, The training and education system of the VR engineers was constructed and applied to the trainees who were present in the 4th line. In addition, the "VR engineer training and training system", which has low maintenance cost and physical constraints, and high learning capacity and learning effect, is an existing trainers education system represented by FTS simulator and simulated driving exerciser of Seoul Metropolitan Transportation Corporation. I would like to point out the improvements needed to establish a new educational materials to supplement and the future direction.
