dc.description.abstractThis paper proposes a novel structured PM type stepping motor with claw-poles and analyze the magnetic characteristics using 3-D FEA taking into account the magnetization distribution of PM in magnetizing yoke. The simulation and experimental results show the proposed model has a good structure for the miniaturization. In addition, the design and manufacture of a novel structured PM type stepping motor of a 4.0 mm-O.D with same sized PM of general type 6.0 mm-OD. model were done. The experimental results confirmed that proposed model is suitable for the miniaturization.en_US
