Abstract
The objective of this research is to prove that it is possible to predict the usability of a website without direct usability testing but rather using an indirect technique. To investigate whether this is possible, the Lens Model was used and the case study using the online bookstores was conducted in two views: (1) the relation between preference and reaction, and (2) the relation between usability prediction and time performance. The results showed that it is possible to predict the relative usability of websites without the direct usability test. Additionally, the methodology in this research can be the basis for the heuristic usability evaluation method.
