- Abstract
- This paper proposes an image stitching algorithmusing adaptive dynamic programming. The adaptiveenergy function in the dynamic programming isproposed to conserve the image structure in stitchingimages. According to the proposed energy function,the stitched image boundaries are determined alongthe homogeneous image structures. Thus theresolution or clarity in the stitched images are notdegraded by the image blending, which is the usualproblem in the image stitching and blending. Theproposed stitching algorithm is especially effectivewhen the stitched images have remarkable structuressuch as document images, artworks, and geometricshapes.
