dc.description.abstractThis paper proposes novel active healthcare chair algorithm for posture correction. A lot of people these days spend plenty of time while sitting in office. It has been known as one of causes to lumbar disc and cardiovascular diseases such as high-blood pressure and bad cholesterol. Most existing devices for postural correction purposes are passive systems in the sense that they do not have no measurements for postures. To overcome this shortfall, we propose the method for active healthcare chair system using various types of sensors in this paper. The proposed system monitors user postures continually by using sensors. The chair system report to the user if detected through mobile phone App. The simulation and experimental studies show that the proposed method may successfully work for posture correction.en_US
