人類思想の蹉跌と転回 ― 泉哲の場合 ―

Abstract

This paper aims to explain an aspect of IZUMI Akira’s thoughts on international law and humanity. Four points will be demonstrated throughout my analysis. (1) In the 1920s, he discovered the concept of humanity, and he proposed the idea beyond state sovereignty; (2) However, his thoughts included the logic which affirms state sovereignty; (3) Therefore, in the 1930s, his thoughts were changing to nationalism; (4) Eventually, his thoughts on international law and humanity led to the creation of the Greater East Asian International Law, while repeating a failure and a change. 본고에서는 국제법학자이면서 식민정책학자이기도 했던 이즈미 아키라의 국제법 사상과 인류사상의 일단을 해명하고자 하였다. 본고의 검토 결과, 주로 다음의 네 가지가 분명해졌다. (1) 1920년대에 있어서 이즈미 아키라는 「인류」를 발견하고, 국가 주권을 초월한 이념을 제기해 보였다. (2) 하지만 이즈미의 사상에는 국가 주권을 긍정하는 논리가 담겨 있기 때문에, (3) 1930년대에 이즈미의 사상은 내셔널리즘의 그것으로 전회해 간다. (4) 그리고 최종적으로는 이즈미의 국가법 사상과 인류사상은 주저와 전회를 되풀이해가면서 「대동아 국제법(학)」을 창조하는 기능을 떠맡게 된 것이다.
