dc.description.abstractThis paper presents a cost advantage of Concentrated Flux Synchronous Motor(CFSM) compared with SPMSM(Surface-mounted Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) in electrical brake system. Because of CFSM use non-rare earth magnet, cost is lower than SPM that use rare earth magnet, like NdFeB magnet. And It can concentrate flux, so it may be the same as SPM performance. In this paper, CFSM design to replace SPM, comparing the performance according to series turns per phase and stack length, and analysis trend of cost reduction. It used 2D- finite elements method for analysis.en_US
