dc.description.abstractACE industry embraced the BIM (Building Information Modeling) very rapidly in the last two decades and had gathered attention of researchers. Despite the fact that extensive research has been done on BIM and its collaboration with other subject like AR/VR, Telematics, there is still a vast field to be explored using BIM. BIM Model visualize the cut/fill area in an effective way that can help for better decision making regarding excavation task. It has now become possible to model and analyze the changes accurately in earthwork using BIM. BIM model can be imported in machine guidance system and operator uses that BIM model for earthwork operation which results in the increase in productivity. This paper presents the introduction to BIM model along with machine guidance and an example of BIM model using AutoCAD Civil 3D for earthwork excavation in Machine guidance system.en_US
