Abstract
In this paper, we study the inverse estimation method of the material properties of hyperelastic material with arbitrary shape through the deformation behavior. A typical hyperelastic material, silicon, was fabricated in a hemispherical shape, and the indenter was pressed at 1 mm intervals from 1 mm to 7 mm. During this process, displacement information of the silicon surface was obtained using a 3-D scanner. In addition, the applied load was measured by using a load cell attached to the indenter. An approximate modeling technique was applied to match the load - displacement relationship obtained from the simulation with the simulation results using the finite element analysis. The material model used in the simulation is a Mooney-Rivlin model.
