Abstract
Cadmium tungstate (CdWO4) particles synthesized using cyclic microwave irradiation assisted by a solid-state metathetic (SSM) reaction were well crystallized at 400-600 oC, showing a fine structure with a self-assembled rod-like morphology and a crystallographic orientation with sizes of 1-3 μm. The synthesized CdWO4 particles were characterized by X-ray diffraction,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. The optical properties were investigated by photoluminescence emission and Raman spectroscopy.
