Abstract
Hands play a key role in human-computer interactions. Thus, this paper proposes a hand shape recognitionmethod for implementing hand-based interfaces. Theproposed method works robustly in real-time becauseit is based on simple but effective algorithms. It doesnot require additional equipments such as markers orsensors which may disturb user immersion. Also, sinceit recognizes both hands, it can provide us with naturaltwo-handed interactions.
