dc.description.abstractIn this paper, the improved mechanism synthesis method is proposed to synthesize planar linkage mechanism. This synthesis method is effective not only much faster but also much more accurate than previous method. In order to synthesize a mechanism, a planar linkage is modeled as a set of bushings in design space. The values of both bushing stiffness and position are found by using a single optimization technique.en_US
