dc.description.abstractIn general autonomous vehicle needs a robot system or a servo motor system for maneuvering the steering system in order to autonomous driving. In this paper, we propose a robust steering servo system for autonomous vehicle equipped with an electric power steering system (EPS). The propose system allows human driver’s intervention within some certain limits while autonomous lane keeping system is actively engaged. The proposed system controls over CAN communication with the preinstalled EPS so that there are no overhead of hardware installation for the implementation of the proposed method. Its performance is validated through extensive simulations and experiments.en_US
