Abstract
In this paper the partial switching PFC converter which isbased on predictive controlis proposed.In terms ofsatisfying the harmonic standard, the predictive controlshows a similar performance to the conventional averagecurrent mode control PFC in the normal input condition.Moreover, the current harmonic characteristic is insensitiveto the distorted input voltage. With predictive controlmethod, novel on-line partial switching strategy issuggested in this paper. Depending on the operatingcondition, the partial switching PFC converter can boost itsoutput voltage. Also when its efficiency needs to beimproved, according to load condition, the partial switchingcan be achieved. The proposed strategy is proved by theresults of FFT and the loss analysis using PSIM 9.0.
