dc.description.abstractmodular data center with containment architecture. In containment architecture, variable speed drive fan is widely accepted in order to reduce fan energy. However, the selection of inappropriate control variable for fan speed yields improper operation of fan; fanairflow does not change when the IT equipment is in part-load operation. In this study, fan control strategy that modulates fan speed according to the differential pressure between cold- and hot-aisle through containment is experimented. As a result, this strategy reduces the discrepancy between rack and CRAH fan airflow though small recirculation is occurred due to gap between floor and racks.en_US
