dc.description.abstractThis letter examines the capacitance of coplanar waveguides (CPWs) in multilayer dielectric substrates.An electrostatic boundary-value problem of CPWs in multilayer dielectric substrates is solved based on the Fourier transform, mode matching technique, and superposition considering the conductor thickness. A series representation for the capacitance is presented. The capacitance is calculated in terms of the CPW geometry to illustrate its behaviors. (C) 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
