- Abstract
- One of the methods to contribute the aged’s life satisfaction in order to successful aging for aging society is to participate the community sports. Therefor it need to examine the body image, and selfesteem by the type of exercise participation. To accomplish the needs, The purpose of this study was to analysis body-esteem and body satisfaction for body image, and self-esteem by the characteristics of general and exercise participation on aged female people. The subjects of this study was 203 aged women of over 60 years old. Variables were the characteristics of general(age, educational background, and economics level) and exercise participation(type, period, frequency, time) for the independent variables. And the dependent variables were body-esteem(feature and outward shape) and body satisfaction(internal and external) for body image, and self-esteem. From the results, educational background, and economics level than age was mere important factors for body image, and self-esteem and it need to participate the community sports in order to successful aging. The dynamic exercise as walking, dance, the others is better than the passive exercise as health gymnastics. In order to increase the body image, and self-esteem, aged person needs to do low intensity exercise 1 hour every day for more than 1 year.
