dc.description.abstract | The main topic of this paper is to verify a possibility of the fan energy savings in underground parking lot by applying the demand-controlled ventilation (DCV) strategy based on the real-time variation of the traffic load. In the previous study, which is based on simulation, two different DCV approches; CO-concentration based DCV (CO-DCV) and DCV with vehicle detection system (VDS-DCV) were proposed to reduce the fan energy consumption in the underground parking lot. In this study, it is a stage to set up a pilot ventilation system based on previous study, to show the applicability of the DCV. The DCV approches were tested by activating of mechanical ventilation system with automatic control system. The activating test results indicate that a largy amount of fan energy consumption can be reduced by the DCV method in continuous mode operations. | en_US |
