The trend in automotive industry is to replace hydraulic systems with electronic systems. As EV(Electric Vehicle) was developed, the EMB(Electro Mechanical Brake), which shows better response and control performance, became very important. This paper focuses on modeling of the EMB 3D simulator using simulation and experimental results. The EMB 3D simulator consists of gear box, screw-nut, pad, floating caliper and disk. The input is the motor torque, and output is a brake clamping force. This can be considered as modified caliper, since the caliper stiffness is included. The modeling process was carried out using RecurDyn, a MBD(MultiBody Dynamics) software. The EMB 3D simulator can be used for fault diagnosis of brake controlen_US
