해양관광개발에 대한 영향인식과 효과인식이 지역애착과 개발지지에 미치는 영향

Abstract

본 연구는 사회교환이론을 중심으로 지역주민의 태도, 지역사회 애착도, 관광개발 지지도의 영향관계를 규명하고자 하였다. 구체적으로, 지역주민의 태도를 기존 관광개발에 대한 효과인식과 신규 관광개발에 대한 영향인식으로 구분하여 관광개발 지지도간의 영향관계를 분석하였다. 조사대상은 제주시 우도면 지역주민들 대상으로 연구를 진행하였고, 분석방법은 빈도분석, 탐색적 요인분석, 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 경제적 영향인식과 환경적 효과인식이 관광개발 지지도에 가장 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 지역주민의 관광개발 지지에 대한 태도는 효과인식보다 영향인식에 더 유의한 영향을 미쳤으며, 이는 기존의 개발효과보다 신규 개발에 대한 기대심리가 더 크게 작용하는 것으로 보인다. The purpose of this research was to examine the relationship among the residents’ attitude, their community attachment and support for tourism development based on Social Exchange Theory. Specifically, residents’ attitude was classified into two categories: perception of existing tourism development impact and recognition on the effect of new tourism development. The empirical data were collected from residents of Udo in Jeju Island, and frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis and multiple regression analysis were conducted for this study. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that recognition on the economic effect and perception of environmental impact were the most influential factors for supporting tourism development. Also, residents’ support for tourism development was more influenced by recognition on effect than perception of impact. It can be interpreted that residents was more affected by expectations on future impact than result of existing development.
