In this paper, a compact UWB antenna with quintuple notch bands is proposed to suppress the potential interferences in ultra-wide band systems. By introducing a complementary split ring resonator (CSRR), two U-shaped slots, a pair of C-shaped band rejection filters, and a U-shaped band rejection filter, five notches are achieved in WiMAX (3.14–3.61 GHz), C-band downlink (3.74–4.31 GHz), WLAN(5.2–5.88 GHz), X-band downlink (7.05–7.71 GHz), and ITU 8GHz signal band (8.1–8.97 GHz). In addition, the proposed antenna has omnidirectional radiation patterns in H-plane.en_US
