애니메이션에 나타난 아브젝시옹 연구 －얀 슈반크마이에르의 <앨리스>을 중심으로－

Abstract

본 논문은 얀 슈반크마이에르(Jan Svankmajer)의 <앨리스, Neco Z Alenky : Alice>에 나타난 특징들을 줄리아 크리스테바(Julia Kristeva)이론과 결부시켜 살펴보는데 초점을 맞추었다. 크리스테바는 주체가 애브젝트를 추방하고 배제하고 밀어내는 현상을 ‘아브젝시옹(Abjection)’이라고 정의한다. 이는 신체적이기도 하고상징적이기도 한 강한 감정으로, 거리를 두고 싶은 어떤 외적 위협일 뿐만 아니라 우리 내부의 위협이다.

그리고 불학정적이고 유동적인 경계를 지닌 대상들에게서 유발된다. 이러한 크리스테바의 ‘아브젝시옹’에 관한 탐구들이 <앨리스>에서 어떻게 시각화 되었는지추적해 보는 일은 유의미한 일일 것이다.

본 연구에서는 일차적으로 줄리아 크리스테바의 이론을 검토한 후 얀 슈반크마이에르의 작품 <앨리스>에 나타난 특징들과 결부시켜 분석해 봄으로써 작품의불가해한 내용을 이해하는 단초를 제공하고자 하는 목적을 가진다. 연구방법으로는 줄리아 크리스테바의 ‘아브젝시옹’ 관련 문헌을 1차 연구 자료로 삼았다. 덧붙여 선행 연구와 그 외 출판물들, 비평적 자료 등을 보조 텍스트로 참고하였다.

작품 분석결과, 슈반크마이에르의 <앨리스>를 관통하고 있는 주제와 시각적 표현이 ‘아브젝시옹’의 개념에 기반하고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 이런 점에서<앨리스>는 20C 말, 크리스테바가 주창했던 ‘아브젝시옹‘에 대한 영상 보고서라 할 수 있다.;This article aims to examine the characteristics features of Abjection in directed by Jan Svankmaje reviewing them with a Julia Kristeva`s theories. The “Abjection” is termed the contradictory psychological phenomenon that the subject banishes and excludes the abject, but it concurrently fascinated with abject. The abjection is the physical and symbolic feeling and reaction of the subject to the abject and resistance of the subject to external threats the subject wants to put some distance. It is significant to analyze how those explorations on “Abjection” are visualized in Svankmajer` First, this paper looks at the concept of Julia Kristeva`s theory and analyzing visual features of Jan Svakmajer`s based on “Abjection.” It intends to provide clues to understand inexplicable contents of the work by tracing the relations between Jan Svakmajer`s and Kristeva`s concept of “Abjection.” The Main method of this article is to analyze the books and periodicals about Julia Kristeva`s theories. Additionally, literatures including precedent studies, other publications and critics would be taken as a second text. According to the analysis of the work, it has been found that the theme and visual expressions penetrating are based on the concept of ‘Abjection``. In this point, they can be said to be the cinematic report of “Abjection” that was advocated by Julia Kristeva in the end of the 20th century.
