청년의 예술취미 경험에 대한 내러티브 탐구

Abstract

삶을 살아가며 모든 인간은 혼돈의 시기 청년기를 경험한다. 청년의 때는 배움의 시기를 통과하여 개인의 정체성을 세상 속에서 구축해 나갈 때 스스로를 향한 존재론적 물음을 거듭하게 되며 그에 대한 답을 찾아가는 시기로 볼 수 있다. 이 때 개인 스스로에게만 온전히 집중하기 위하여 취미를 선택하고 시간을 보내게 된다. 이에 예술 또한 취미의 한 형태로 자리 잡게 되었으며, 이는 기존의 예술에 관한 고급의 이미지를 넘어 일상으로 들어온 지점이라 볼 수 있다. 이와 같이 예술은 스스로를 알아가는 청년기의 삶에 예술취미로서 존재하고 있다. 하지만 이처럼 예술취미가 이미 개인의 삶에서 살아가고 있음에도 불구하고 취미로의 예술에 관한 논의와 청년기 때에 경험하는 예술취미는 적극적으로 이루어지지 않고 있는 실정이다. 이러한 갈증을 확장하기 위하여 청년 개인의 삶과 그 삶 속에 살아있는 예술취미 경험에 주목하는 연구가 필요하다. 이는 문화예술교육정책에서 생애주기로의 접근에 주목하며 다양한 시기에 관한 연구의 필요성과 맥락을 같이한다. 또한 삶이란 일시정지 없이 매일, 매 순간이 연속되는 것으로 이 연속성 안에서 예술취미가 지속되는 맥락에 주목함으로 예술취미 경험이 삶과 호흡하는 지점을 구체적으로 살펴보고자 하였다. 이는 Dewey가 이야기하는 예술은 앎이 삶으로 실천된다는 맥락에서 초점을 맞춰 보고자 하였다. 이에 본 연구는 내러티브 탐구를 통해 청년의 때에 삶에 존재하는 예술취미 경험을 살펴보았다. 그리고 이를 통해 예술취미가 삶에서 어떻게 존재하는가에 대하여 알아감으로 예술이 삶과 호흡하는 지점을 탐색하고자 하였다. 그 결과, 예술취미는 지속적으로 삶 속에 하나의 영역으로 유지되고 있으며 이는 일과 지속적으로 다양하게 상호작용하며 삶을 성장시키고 있음이 발견되었다. 그리고 예술취미는 기존의 성인 문화예술교육의 효능으로 여겨졌던 긍정적인 의미들 보다 더욱 입체적으로 다양한 성격을 띄며 인격적으로 삶 속에 호흡하고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 삶에 존재하는 예술의 형태인 예술취미는 입체적으로 존재하며, 유기적으로 삶과 호흡하고 있음을 볼 수 있었다. 이는 예술취미의 효능에 주목했던 것에서 더 나아가 예술취미가 삶 속에 인격적으로 살아가고 있는 지점을 발견함으로 실제 삶에서 살아있는 예술의 형태를 보여주는 하나의 사례로 볼 수 있었다. 본 연구가 생애주기로의 문화예술교육이 이루어질 때 삶에 존재하는 예술취미 경험에 대한 이해를 마련하고, 앞으로 예술취미에 대하여 더욱 입체적이고 인격적으로 개념화함으로 이에 따라 교육되어지고, 교육하는 다양한 논의가 이어질 수 있는 초석이 될 수 있기를 기대한다.| Throughout life, every human being experiences a period of chaos and youth. Youth can be seen as a time to find answers to ontological questions toward itself when building an individual's identity in the world through the period of learning. At this time, in order to focus entirely on the individual himself, he or she chooses a hobby and spends time. Accordingly, art has also become a form of hobby, which can be seen as a point where it has entered daily life beyond the high-quality image of existing art. As such, art exists as an art hobby in the life of youth who get to know themselves. However, even though art hobbies are already living in individual lives, discussions on art as a hobby and art hobbies experienced in youth are not actively taking place. In order to expand this thirst, it is necessary to study the life of an individual young person and the art hobby experience living in that life. This focuses on the approach from the culture and arts education policy to the life cycle, and is in line with the necessity of research on various periods. In addition, life is continuous every day and every moment without pause, and we tried to examine in detail the point where the artistic hobby experience breathes with life by paying attention to the context in which art hobbies continue within this continuity. This was to focus on the art that Dewey talks about in the context that knowing is practiced in life. Therefore, this study examined the artistic hobby experiences that exist in life at the time of youth through narrative exploration. Through this, I tried to explore the point where art breathes with life by understanding how art hobbies exist in life. As a result, it was found that art hobby is continuously maintained as an area in life, and it is continuously interacting with work in various ways and growing life. In addition, it was confirmed that art hobbies are personally breathing in life with more three-dimensional diverse personalities than the positive meanings that were considered the efficacy of existing adult culture and arts education. Therefore, it can be seen that art hobbies, a form of art that exists in life, exist in three dimensions and are organically breathing with life. This could be seen as an example of the actual form of art in real life by finding a point where art hobbies are living personally in life, further from paying attention to the efficacy of art hobbies. When culture and arts education is conducted in the life cycle, it is hoped that this study will provide an understanding of art hobby experiences that exist in life, and that it will be a cornerstone for various discussions on education and education.
